Eurozone: European Stocks Head for Higher Open.
European equity markets were poised to open higher on Monday as risk sentiment improved following sharp losses last week fueled by growing concerns over the sustainability of artificial intelligence spending. Investors now await earnings from megacap tech names to guide the outlook for the AI trade, as well as policy decisions from major central banks. The European Central Bank is widely expected to keep interest rates unchanged this week, while leaving the possibility of a rate hike in December open. The Federal Reserve and the Bank of Japan are also anticipated to maintain current rates. Meanwhile, Eurozone GDP and inflation data are due this week, alongside earnings reports from major companies, including HSBC, UBS, Novartis, Banco Santander and Airbus. In premarket trading, futures on the Euro Stoxx 50 and Stoxx 600 were both up approximately 0.3%.
