Finland: Producer Inflation Highest Since 2023.

Producer prices in Finland rose by 9.8% year-on-year in September 2026, accelerating from a 7.3% gain in the previous month and marking the fastest growth since January 2023. The increase was largely driven by double-digit rises in prices of mining and quarrying (+13.8%) and water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation services (+12.4%). Prices also increased 9.8% in the manufacturing industry mainly due to higher prices of refined petroleum products and basic metals, while costs for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning gained 8.5%. In contrast, price increases were curbed especially by the decrease in prices of processed paper and paperboard as well as dairy products. On a monthly basis, producer prices grew by 2.0% in September, the highest since January, following a 1.2% gain in the preceding period.
