Taiwan: Jobless Rate at 3.33% in September.

Taiwan’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate edged down by 0.01 percentage point from the previous month to 3.33% in September 2026, even as the number of unemployed people increased by 1 thousand to 401 thousand. Meanwhile, total employment declined by 4 thousand to 11.644 million. The labor force participation rate remained unchanged at 59.59% for the third month in a row, even as the total labor force decreased by 2 thousand to 12.046 million. Not seasonally adjusted, the unemployment rate ticked lower to 3.36% in September from 3.41% in August, with the number of unemployed people falling by 6 thousand to 405 thousand. Meanwhile, the youth unemployment rate among those aged 15–24 fell to 11.59% from 11.74% in the previous month.
