Finland: Producer Inflation Hits 3-Month High.

Producer prices in Finland rose 7.3% year-on-year in August 2026, accelerating from 6.9% in July and the highest recorded since May 2026. The acceleration was mainly driven by faster price growth in manufacturing (8.2% vs 7.6% in July) particularly refined petroleum products and basic metals. Moreover, prices for computer, electronic and optical products (19.3%), basic metals (13.4%) and rubber and plastic products (9.2%) also contributed. Producer price growth in mining and quarrying also accelerated (12.1% vs 11.9%). Meanwhile, prices in electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply fell further (-5.4% vs -4.2%), while growth in water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation services eased (10.9% vs 11.5%). On a monthly basis, producer prices increased 1.2% from a 0.1% rise in the previous month.
