Italy: FTSE MIB Pares Weekly Gains on Friday.
The FTSE MIB closed 0.1% lower at 45,800 on Friday, snapping a two-session advance as weakness in banks and industrial names outweighed selective gains, leaving the index broadly flat on the week. Financials led the decline, with Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena (-4.2%), Mediobanca (-3.5%) and Intesa Sanpaolo (-1.1%) under pressure, while Stellantis (-3%), Inwit (-2.8%), Buzzi Unicem (-1.9%) and Nexi (-1.7%) also weighed on the market. Ferrari slipped 2.1%, adding to the drag from consumer and industrial stocks. On the upside, defensive and energy-linked names offered partial support, as Leonardo (+1.7%), Prysmian (+2.4%), Enel (+1.2%) and Eni (+0.8%) advanced, helping to cushion broader losses as easing geopolitical tensions limited risk appetite and capped gains.
