Sweden: Household Spending Rebounds.
Household spending in Sweden increased 1.0% month-on-month in November 2025, recovering from a downwardly revised 0.5% fall in October. The rebound was mainly driven by higher consumption of recreation and culture, goods and services (3.5% vs -0.4%), food and beverages (0.7% vs -0.1%), clothing and footwear (2.3% vs -5.6%), while housing, electricity, gas & heating was unchanged (0.2%). Meanwhile, spending growth on furniture, furnishings, household equipment, and consumables eased (0.8% vs 3.3%). By contrast, transport, retail trade, and motor vehicle services fell 1.6%, following a 2.3% decline in the previous month. On a yearly basis, household consumption rose 3.5%, accelerating from an upwardly revised 2.7% increase in the previous month.
