Colombia: Economic Activity Accelerates in May.

Colombia's leading economic indicator rose by 2.8% year-on-year in May 2025, up from 1.14% in April, driven by a strong performance in the services sector, which expanded 4.23% (vs 2.6% prior). The industrial sector contracted 0.86%, but the pace of decline slowed from April’s 3.89% drop. Similarly, the primary sector fell 0.78%, a smaller decrease compared to -1.71% the month before. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the indicator edged down 0.06%, following a 1.57% increase in April.
