5 August 2026, 10:51  Eurozone: European Stocks Hit New High.

European stocks traded higher for a third consecutive session on Wednesday, with the STOXX 50 gaining 0.2% and the STOXX 600 rising 0.3% to reach fresh record highs. Sentiment was supported by growing optimism over a potential US-Iran agreement, while renewed strength in semiconductor and other AI-related stocks boosted global risk appetite. Meanwhile, the earnings season remained in focus. Siemens Energy climbed 3.5% after reporting record third-quarter sales, margins, and order intake. SAP advanced 0.9%, Safran gained 1.3%, and Rheinmetall rose 2%. On the downside, Novo Nordisk fell 3.5% despite issuing upbeat guidance, as concerns over the outlook for its obesity business continued to weigh on the stock. HSBC declined 2.9%, while LVMH and Hermes lost 1.8% and 1.4%, respectively.
