5 August 2026, 10:06  France: Industrial Output Rebounds in June.

Industrial production in France rose 0.1% month-on-month in June 2025, missing market expectations of a 0.3% increase but rebounding from a 0.1% drop in the previous month. Output growth accelerated in extractive industries, energy, and water (3.8% vs 2.9% in May), supported by stronger gains in electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply (4.2% vs 3.1%) and water and sanitation (1.5% vs 1.1%). Meanwhile, manufacturing output fell at a faster pace (-1.1% vs -1%), largely due to deeper declines in agri-food industries (-0.8% vs -0.3%), coke and refined petroleum products (-12% vs -11.7%), transport equipment manufacturing (-3.8% vs -2.1%), and the manufacture of other industrial products (-0.6% vs -0.4%). On a yearly basis, industrial production fell 0.1%, reversing a 3.1% rise in the previous month and marking its first annual decline since February.
