4 August 2026, 10:24  Eurozone: European Stocks Hit Fresh Record Highs.

European stocks climbed to fresh record highs on Tuesday as improving global risk sentiment and a steady flow of corporate earnings outweighed a rebound in oil prices, which followed Monday's sharp decline amid lingering uncertainty over efforts to resolve the US-Iran conflict. The Euro Stoxx 50 rose 0.7% to 6,480, while the broader STOXX 600 gained 0.6%. Technology shares led the advance, with AI-related stocks benefiting from strong results from US software firm Palantir, which topped expectations and raised its revenue outlook. BE Semiconductor added 2% after receiving an upgrade from Berenberg. Among corporate movers, Lufthansa fell 4% after missing operating profit forecasts and lowering its outlook. Online fashion retailer Zalando slumped 9% after cutting its full-year growth and earnings guidance. In the UK, BP gained 1% after reporting stronger-than-expected profits, while HSBC edged 0.3% higher after beating earnings estimates and raising its net interest income target.
