31 August 2026, 12:50  Belgium: Producer Inflation Edges Down.

Belgium’s producer price inflation eased slightly to 9.0% year-on-year in July 2026, from 9.1% in June. Lower non-domestic price inflation (9.9% vs 11.0%) was partly offset by stronger domestic inflation (8.7% vs 8.3%). Manufacturing price inflation slowed to 8.7% from 9.0%. In turn, inflation for intermediate goods eased sharply to 14.5% from 17.2%. Non-durable consumer goods remained in deflation for a tenth consecutive month, although the decline moderated to 1.5%. Energy inflation remained particularly elevated, accelerating to 20.9% from 16.6%. Meanwhile, price growth accelerated in mining and quarrying (3.1% vs 2.3%) and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (13.4% vs 11.5%). On a monthly basis, producer prices rose 0.4%, reversing a 1.1% decline in June.
