28 August 2026, 12:51 Cyprus: Industrial Output Growth Steady in June.
Industrial production in Cyprus edged up 0.3% year-on-year in June 2026, unchanged from the previous month and remaining at its lowest level since February. Output in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply stagnated after recording a 4.0% decline in May. Meanwhile, manufacturing production edged down (0.5% from 0.6%), weighed down by basic metals and fabricated metal products (1.1% vs 2.3%), paper and paper products and printing (-1.7% vs -0.7%), rubber and plastic products (-2.4% vs 4.7%), and textiles, wearing apparel and leather products (-8.0% vs 0.4%). Output growth also eased for water collection, treatment, and supply (10.2% vs 14.2%), while it declined for water supply and materials recovery (-3.9% vs 1.5%), and fell further for materials recovery (-20.7% vs -15.1%). For the January-June period, industrial output grew 1.2% compared with the corresponding period of the previous year.
