26 August 2026, 15:45  US: Economic Growth Slows to 1.5% in Q2.

The US economy expanded at an annualized rate of 1.5% in the second quarter of 2026, slowing from 2.1% in the previous quarter and matching the preliminary estimate. The increase in real GDP was driven by higher consumer spending, exports, and investment, partly offset by a decline in government spending. Imports also increased, weighing on GDP growth as they are subtracted from the calculation.
