The annual inflation rate in Australia slowed to 3.5% in July 2026 from 3.8% in June and expectations of 3.3%, but remained above the central bank's 2–3% target range. It was the softest increase since November 2025, as goods inflation moderated to an eleven-month low of 3.2%. Services inflation also eased to 3.7% from 4.0%.
