25 August 2026, 11:16 Taiwan: Industrial Output at 4-Month High.
Industrial production in Taiwan climbed 25.61% year-on-year in July 2026, accelerating from 22.56% in the previous month and marking the strongest growth since March. Manufacturing output surged to a four-month high of 26.89% from 23.96% in June, led by a sharp increase in computers, electronic and optical products (95.62% vs 44.11%), while growth in electronic parts and components eased (22.72% vs 30%). Overall output was also supported by a rebound in mining and quarrying (0.83% vs -10.79%) and faster growth in electricity and gas supply (5.8% vs 1.54%). In contrast, output slipped in water supply (-1.3% vs 1.45%). On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial production rose 4.15% from 2.41% in June, marking its highest reading since February.
