Net foreign acquisitions of long-term securities, short-term US securities and banking flows resulted in a net TIC inflow of $133.5 billion in June 2026. Net foreign private inflows totaled $85.0 billion, while official inflows reached $48.4 billion. Foreign residents increased their holdings of long-term US securities, with net purchases totaling $207.1 billion. Private foreign investors accounted for $169.8 billion, while official institutions purchased $37.3 billion. US residents also increased their holdings of long-term foreign securities, with net purchases of $34.4 billion. After adjustments, overall net foreign purchases of long-term securities were estimated at $172.7 billion in June. Foreign residents reduced their holdings of US Treasury bills by $29.0 billion, while holdings of dollar-denominated short-term US securities and other custody liabilities fell $4.9 billion.
