14 August 2026, 08:22  Finland: Inflation Rate Steady in July.

The annual inflation rate in Finland stood at 2.1% in July 2026, unchanged from the previous two months and remaining at its highest level since March 2024. Price growth accelerated for housing and utilities (2.1% vs 1.9% in June), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (4.6% vs 3.4%), information and communication (3.7% vs 1.5%), recreation and culture (1.4% vs 1.2%), and restaurants and accommodation services (2.2% vs 2.1%). In addition, inflation was unchanged for food and non-alcoholic beverages (0.7%) and education (11.5%), while deflation eased for insurance and financial services (-0.5% vs -1.6%). On the other hand, prices moderated for transport (5.8% vs 6.2%), furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance (3.3% vs 3.5%), and health (3.5% vs 4.0%). Prices also slipped for clothing and footwear (-1.6% vs 0.8%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.2%, rebounding from a 0.2% decline in the previous month.
