13 August 2026, 10:41  Poland: Inflation Confirmed at 3.0% in July.

The annual inflation rate in Poland accelerated to 3.0% year-on-year in July 2026 from 2.5% in the previous month, confirming preliminary estimates. The pickup was mainly driven by faster price growth for transport (7.0% vs 1.3% in June), reflecting a sharp rebound in transport costs, and alcoholic beverages and tobacco (6.9% vs 6.5%). Inflation also accelerated for information and communication (5.2% vs 4.0%) and recreation, sport and culture (5.4% vs 5.2%). In contrast, prices continued to decline for clothing and footwear (-3.6% vs -3.1%), while inflation eased for housing and utilities (4.5% vs 4.9%), health (4.9% vs 5.0%), education services (5.3% vs 6.0%), and restaurants and accommodation services (4.2% vs 4.5%). Food prices remained in deflation (-0.4% vs -0.2%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.8%, rebounding from a 0.5% decline in June.
