11 August 2026, 19:32  Germany: DAX Climbs to Fresh Record.

The DAX rose 0.3% to a record of 26,385 on Tuesday as gains for utilities offset losses elsewhere. Siemens Energy led the advance, rising 3.2% after reports that the company booked the most gas-turbine orders in the second quarter. The company continued to trade in tandem with AI infrastructure companies amid the development of power-hungry data centers. Likewise, data center projects were due to boost RWE (1.7%) and E.ON (0.9%) ahead of their earnings this week. Auto stocks also outperformed following data showing US auto loans at record levels. BMW rose 1.2% and Volkswagen gained 0.1%, while Daimler Truck Holdings fell 1.9% as rising Middle East tensions pushed fuel prices higher and concerns over the shift toward electric vehicles weighed on sentiment. Adidas dropped 3% after On Holding missed estimates for second-quarter net sales, highlighting a tougher macroeconomic environment. Zalando fell 2.6%.
