The DAX 40 hovered around 26,320 on Tuesday morning, remaining at record levels, as investors weighed developments surrounding the Middle East conflict. US President Donald Trump on Monday responded to Iran’s conditions for a peace deal with demands that Tehran compensate for people killed in wars, attacks and protests, adding to tensions and potentially complicating diplomatic efforts to reopen the crucial waterway. Gains were led by Deutsche Telekom (+1%), Siemens Energy (+1.1%), Infineon (+0.8%) and RWE (+0.9%), which were offset by losses in Airbus (-1.4%), Daimler Truck Holding (-1.3%) and Hochtief (-1%).
