7 May 2026, 09:29 Denmark: Manufacturing Output Rebounds in March.
Denmarkâs manufacturing production climbed by 8.6% month-on-month in March 2026, rebounding from an upwardly revised 4.5% drop in the previous month. This marked the strongest growth in manufacturing activity since late September, largely driven by a 37% surge (vs -14.9% in February) in the output of the electronics industry. Production in the pharmaceutical industry, the most important sector, which accounted for 20% of total manufacturing output, also increased by 15% (vs 8.2%). Other notable improvements came from transport (19.5% vs -11.1%), rubber, plastic, glass and concrete (15.5% vs -5.4%), and textile, clothing and leather (9.7% vs -5.8%). Meanwhile, output in the petroleum and chemical (-0.9% vs -5.7%) and machinery industry (-0.6% vs 4.8%) decreased. On a non-seasonally adjusted annual basis, manufacturing activity rose by 20.7%, the fastest increase since October 2024, accelerating from a 6.4% gain in February.
