25 May 2026, 14:26 Latvia: Producer Prices Rise in April.
Producer prices in Latvia rose 0.9% year-on-year in April 2026, recovering from a downwardly revised 0.1% decline in the previous month. Costs increased in manufacturing (0.7% vs. 0.2% in March), particularly in textiles (5.3% vs. 4.8%), wood products (2% vs. 0.1%), printing and reproduction of recorded media (3.4% vs. 0.6%), and furniture (1.8% vs. 1.2%). Costs also rose in water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities (7.5% vs. 6.4%). At the same time, deflation eased in electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply (-1.9% vs. -5.2%). Meanwhile, cost growth slowed in mining and quarrying (15.5% vs. 16.2%). On a monthly basis, producer prices rebounded by 0.6% in April after a downwardly revised 2% decline in the previous period.
