Brazil’s car production rose 3% to 247,000 units in August 2025 from 239,800 in July. Passenger car output increased 5.5% to 194,200 units from 184,200, while light commercial vehicles edged down 1.3% to 40,100 from 40,600. Truck production also declined, down 16.3% to 10,100 from 12,100, and bus output fell 9.9% to 2,607 from 2,894. Meanwhile, vehicle exports surged 19.3% on the month, providing some relief for automakers amid uneven domestic performance across categories.
