8 September 2025, 13:35  Czech Republic: Jobless Rate Highest Since 2017.

The Czech unemployment rate edged up to 4.5% in August 2025, compared to 4.4% in the previous month and slightly above market forecasts of 4.4%. This marked the highest level since March 2017, as the number of unemployed persons increased by 4,123 month-on-month to 333,624 and was up by 47,304 compared to the same month last year. Meanwhile, the number of job vacancies decreased by 436 from the previous period to 95,117 and was 168,130 lower than in August last year.
