Private house approvals in Australia grew by 1.1% month-over-month to 9,288 units in July 2025, confirming initial estimates, after a 1.9% drop in the previous month. The increase was driven by higher approvals across most states, including New South Wales (3.0%), Western Australia (3.0%), Victoria (1.3%), and Queensland (0.8%). South Australia was the only state to record a decline, falling 6.1%. On a yearly basis, private house permits were up 0.3%, following a 0.5% rise in June.
