5 September 2025, 11:21  France: Current Account Deficit Largest in 3 Months.

France's current account deficit widened to EUR 2.5 billion in July 2025 from a downwardly revised EUR 2.3 billion in the previous month. This marked the largest current account shortfall since April, as the services account surplus fell to EUR 3.9 billion from EUR 5.5 billion. In addition, the primary income surplus decreased to EUR 1.4 billion from EUR 3.2 billion in June, while the secondary income deficit increased to EUR 4.6 billion from EUR 3.9 billion. Meanwhile, the goods account shortfall narrowed to EUR 5.5 billion in July from EUR 7 billion in the previous month.
