4 September 2025, 11:29  Czech Republic: Inflation Slows in August.

The annual inflation rate in the Czech Republic eased to 2.5% in August 2025 from 2.7% in the previous month, matching market forecasts, preliminary estimates showed. The slowdown was mainly due to softer price increases for food, alcohol & tobacco (4% vs 4.9% in July), services (4.7% vs 4.8%), and goods (1.1% vs 1.4%). Additionally, costs for energy continued to decline (-4.4% vs -4.6%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 0.1% in August, slowing from a 0.5% advance in the preceding period.
