30 September 2025, 23:32  France: CAC 40 Rises for 3rd Straight Session.

Paris’s CAC 40 rose 0.2% to close at 7,896 on Tuesday, extending gains for a third straight session as buyers rotated into advertising and tech-related names. Publicis Groupe led the advance, up 2.2%, followed by Capgemini rising 1.9% and Schneider Electric adding 1.4%. Energy and luxury stocks capped the index’s gains as TotalEnergies fell 2.5% and the luxury sector gave back prior strength with Kering down 1.9%, Hermes off 1.6% and LVMH down 0.5%. LVMH also announced that Silvia Venturini Fendi will become Honorary President of Fendi effective October 1 and will be charged with preserving the house’s heritage craftsmanship and global reach. Investors stayed cautious about the risk of a US government shutdown because lawmakers must pass a funding bill before the new fiscal year or face partial federal agency closures starting Wednesday. At the same time France’s CPI rose more slowly than expected in the latest reading which tempered inflation worries.
