OpenAI’s new Instant Checkout feature which will let users shop directly inside ChatGPT and is slated to expand to Shopify merchants helped send Shopify up 6.2% and lent support to the tech sector. Gold hit new highs and major miners Agnico Eagle, Wheaton Precious Metals and Franco Nevada gained between 0.7% and 1.9%.
