Retail sales in Argentina increased by 19.6% in July 2025 compared to the same period last year at current prices, easing from the 27.8% increase recorded in the previous month. Most retail sectors showed slower growth, such as clothing, footwear and leather goods (12.6% vs. 31.6% in June), electronics and IT (5.1% vs. 20.0%), and bookstores and stationery stores (18.6% vs. 23.0%), while food courts and restaurants (39.0% vs. 33.7%), pharmacies and perfumeries (30.5% vs. 24.3%), toys (45.4% vs. 42.3%), and leisure and recreation (28.2% vs. 6.3% in June) increased. When adjusted to constant prices, retail sales fell 9.5% year-on-year, down from the 4.5% decline in June.
