The Ibovespa gained 1% to hover above 146,500 on Tuesday as markets assessed the outlook of global rates and domestic fiscal spending. Finance Minister Haddad said in an interview that Brazil has no difficulty redirecting exports after the US tariff hike, while Lula addressed the opening of the UN General Assembly. Domestically, minutes from Copom signaled that after a firm rate-hiking cycle, the Selic is set to remain unchanged to ensure convergence to the inflation target. Separately, federal revenue fell 1.5% in real terms in August from a year earlier to R$208.8 billion, marking the first decline of 2025.
