Industrial production in Mauritius grew by 1.7% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2025, slowing from a seven-quarter high of 2.6% in the previous period. The downturn was mainly due to a decline in the output of mining and quarrying (-2.4% vs 2.2% in Q1). On a quarterly basis, industrial output increased by 5% in Q2 2025, rebounding from an 18.3% drop in the preceding period.
