The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in Luxembourg remained unchanged at 5.9% in August 2025, holding steady for the third consecutive month. Employment figures showed a decline, with the number of employed persons falling by 56 from the previous month to reach a seven-month low of 18,557. Overall total employment also decreased, dropping by 525 to 522,126. Among Luxembourg nationals, the active labor force shrank by 427, settling at 316,573. In terms of cross-border employment, the number of outgoing resident workers remained steady at 14,048, while incoming cross-border workers fell by 183 to 231,028, reflecting subtle shifts in workforce dynamics.
