2 September 2025, 10:28  Romania: Producer Inflation at 4-Month High.

The annual producer inflation in Romania jumped 2.70% year-on-year in July 2025, rebounding sharply from an upwardly revised 0.29% drop in the previous month. This marked the fastest pace since March, driven by higher prices in water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities (10.46% vs 9.29% in June) and manufacturing (2.75% vs 2.15%), alongside a rebound in electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply (8.46% vs -7.37%). Meanwhile, price growth eased for mining and quarrying (4.28% vs 5.03%). On a monthly basis, producer prices rose by 4.95%, accelerating from 0.10% in the preceding period.
