Croatia’s unemployment rate edged up to 4.1% in August 2025 from 4.0% in the previous month, marking the highest level since May. The number of unemployed persons increased by 3.2% month-over-month to 75.5 thousand. Meanwhile, total employment declined by 0.1% to 1.8 million, while the labor force grew slightly by 0.02% to 1.8 million. In comparison, the jobless rate in August 2024 was significantly higher, at 4.8%.
