Slovakia's current account deficit narrowed to EUR 484.1 million in July 2025, from EUR 493 million in the same month of the previous year. The improvement was primarily driven by a significant reduction in the goods account shortfall, which fell to EUR 121.7 million from EUR 216.2 million in July 2024. However, the services account surplus declined to EUR 27.6 million from EUR 54.7 million. At the same time, the primary income deficit widened to EUR 270.1 million from EUR 216.8 million, and the secondary income shortfall rose slightly to EUR 119.9 million from EUR 114.7 million.
