12 September 2025, 17:18  Poland: Trade Deficit Widens in July.

Poland posted a €1.27 billion trade deficit in July 2025, widening from €1.17 billion a year earlier, as import growth outpaced exports. Exports rose 2.7% to €28.2 billion, marking the third straight month of gains, driven by re-exports of clothing, footwear, and toys, higher agricultural prices, and a rebound in the automotive sector, with strong sales of buses, cars, and trucks. However, metals and other intermediate goods remained a drag. Imports increased 3% to €29.5 billion, led by goods for re-export and a surge in passenger car purchases from China, the highest this year. Lower global oil prices limited fuel import values, while weak industrial activity curbed demand for intermediate goods.
