UK construction output rose 2.4% year-on-year in July 2025, accelerating from 1.5% in the previous month and topping market estimates of 1.9%. It marked the 12th consecutive monthly gain and the fastest pace since April. New work grew the most in three months (4.1% vs 2.7% in June), while repair and maintenance picked up (0.3% vs flat reading). Monthly, construction output increased 0.2%, following June's 0.3% gain. Four of nine sectors posted expansion, with the strongest contributions from private housing repair and maintenance (3.8%), and infrastructure new work (2.1%).
