11 September 2025, 11:15 Europe: Stocks Edge Up, ECB Awaited.
European stocks were slightly higher on Thursday, with the STOXX 50 edging up 0.1% and the STOXX 600 adding 0.2% as investors awaited key events later in the day. The ECB is widely expected to keep borrowing costs unchanged, though markets will closely watch for any signals on the outlook for the rest of the year, alongside fresh macroeconomic projections. Meanwhile, the upcoming US CPI report will shed further light on tariff-driven price pressures, though the figures are unlikely to alter market expectations that the Fed will cut rates next week. On the corporate front, Inditex extended gains (+1.1%) following strong results released yesterday, while SAP (-0.4%) and ASML Holding (-0.3%) traded lower.
