Total orders received by Swedish industry fell by 1.4% year-on-year in July 2025, reversing a downwardly revised 0.9% gain in the previous month. The decline was mainly driven by the fall in orders from the domestic demand (-1.3% vs 6% in June). At the same time, foreign orders contracted (-1.4% vs -1.7%) albeit at a softer pace. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, new orders dropped by 2.4%, easing from a 2.6% decrease in the preceding period.
