1 September 2025, 11:56  Poland: Manufacturing PMI Improves to 3-Month High.

The S&P Global Poland Manufacturing PMI came in at 46.6 in August 2025, up from 45.9 in the previous month but below market expectations of 47. Despite missing forecasts, the latest reading marked the highest level since May, reflecting a softer decline in new orders, while new export orders fell at the slowest pace in three months. In addition, production contracted for the fourth consecutive month, though the rate of decline moderated to its slowest since May. Meanwhile, employment continued to shrink, with August marking the sixth reduction in jobs this year, and the pace of workforce contraction accelerating to the fastest rate since May. On the pricing front, cost pressures eased as average input prices declined for the second time in three months. Output prices, however, increased marginally for the fifth time in the past seven months. Finally, confidence remained below the long-term average observed since 2012.
