1 September 2025, 11:52 Hungary: Producer Inflation Slows to 9-Month Low.
Hungary’s annual producer inflation slowed to 4.5% in July 2025 from 5.1% in the previous month. This marked the lowest reading since October 2024, as prices moderated for electricity, gas, steam & air-conditioning supply (3.6% vs 6.5% in June), mining and quarrying (4.7% vs 4.8%), and water collection, treatment & supply (3.2% vs 3.5%). In contrast, cost rose faster for manufacturing (3.0% vs 2.8%). On a monthly basis, producer prices stalled in July, following a 0.1% fall in June.
