Romania’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate edged down to 5.8% in July 2025 from an upwardly revised 6.0% in June. The number of unemployed persons decreased 18.9 thousand from a month earlier to 471.2 thousand. Among genders, the jobless rate for men remained unchanged at 6.0%, while that for women ticked down to 5.5% from 6.0% in the previous month.
