1 September 2025, 11:47 Lithuania: Q2 GDP Growth Revised Slightly Higher.
The economy of Lithuania grew 0.3% quarter-on-quarter in the second quarter of 2025, slightly higher than preliminary estimates of 0.2% rise and slowing from a 0.6% gain in the previous three-month period. From the production side, the largest contributions to the GDP slowdown came primarily from declines in financial and insurance activities (-0.6% vs 2.9% in Q1), construction (-1.5% vs 1%), industry (-0.4% vs 1.8%), and manufacturing (-0.5% vs 1.7%). On the expenditure side, government spending (-1% vs 1.6%) decreased, while capital formation fell further (-10.2% vs -2.9%). Meanwhile, household consumption rebounded by 2.3% from a 2.5% drop in the previous quarter. On a yearly basis, the country's GDP rose by 3.1% in the second quarter of 2025, easing from a 3.4% advance in the prior quarter.
