4 July 2025, 14:51 Czech Republic: Inflation Rate at 6-Month High.
The annual inflation rate in the Czech Republic rose to 2.9% in June 2025 from 2.4% in the previous month, preliminary estimates showed. This marked the highest reading since December 2024, driven by higher costs for food, alcohol, & tobacco (5.5% vs 4.8% in May), goods (1.6% vs 0.9%), and services (5.0% vs 4.9%). Meanwhile, costs for energy fell (-5% vs -6.2%), though at a softer pace. On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased by 0.3%, easing from a 0.5% gain in May.
