Slovenia’s annual inflation rate rose to 2.8% in July 2025 from 2.2% in the previous month. This marked the highest reading since April 2024, driven by increased costs of food and non-alcoholic beverages (7.7% vs 6.7% in June), clothing and footwear (1.1% vs 0.7%), health (4.3% vs 3.7%), recreation and culture (3.0% vs 2.4%), and restaurants and hotels (5.6% vs 5.0%). Prices also rebounded for housing and utilities (0.7% vs -1.5%). Meanwhile, costs moderated for furnishing, household equipment, and ongoing apartment maintenance (0.1% vs 0.7%) and miscellaneous goods and services (1.2% vs 1.4%), while deflation persisted in transport (-0.4% vs -0.3%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.5% in July, easing slightly from a 0.8% gain in the previous month.
