31 July 2025, 11:42  Italy: Unemployment Rate Falls More than Expected.

The unemployment rate in Italy fell to 6.3% in June of 2025 from the 11-month high of 6.5% in the previous month, slightly below market expectations of 6.4% to maintain the relatively robust labor market backdrop in the Eurozone's third-largest economy. The number of unemployed people fell by 4.2% from the previous month to 1.621 million, the sharpest decrease since February. Meanwhile the number of net employment edged higher by 0.1% to 24.326 million. Consequently, the labor force eased by 0.2% to 25.947 million people, translating to a labor force participation rate of 67.2%.
