31 July 2025, 11:14  France: Producer Prices Fall at Softest Pace in 4 Months.

Producer prices in the French domestic market fell by 0.2% month-over-month in June 2025, easing from an upwardly revised 0.9% decline in the previous month. This marked the softest producer deflation since February, as prices fell at a slower rate in the extractive, energy, and water industries (-1.8% vs -3.9% in May), notably due to a less pronounced drop in electricity prices (-4.8% vs -7.8%). Moreover, prices increased at a faster pace for manufactured products (0.3% vs 0%), primarily driven by coking and refining products (5.8% vs -0.9%), food, beverages, and tobacco products (0.3% vs 0.2%), transport equipment (0.1% vs -0.1%), and other industrial products (0.2% vs -0.2%). On a yearly basis, producer prices rose by 0.2% in June, following a downwardly revised flat reading in the preceding month.
