The CAC 40 rose 0.3% to 7,763 on Thursday, extending gains from the previous session and remaining near over two-week highs, as market sentiment continued to improve amid encouraging signals on global trade relations. In a positive development, the Trump administration lifted export license requirements for US chip design software sales to China. This move is part of a broader trade agreement aimed at renewing cooperation on rare earths and advanced technologies, signaling a potential thaw in US-China trade tensions. Meanwhile, investors looked ahead to upcoming PMI data across Europe. Most stocks on the CAC 40 traded in positive territory. Notable gainers included Teleperformance (2%), Thales (1.7%), Accor (1.4%), and Edenred (1.1%). On the downside, a few stocks bucked the trend.
