28 July 2025, 09:43 Sweden: Trade Surplus Widens in June.
Sweden’s trade surplus widened to SEK 13.3 billion in June 2025 from SEK 7.6 billion in the same month of the previous year. Exports grew by 3.5% year-on-year to SEK 176.8 billion, driven by increased sales to EU (4.1%) and non-EU countries (2.8%). Meanwhile, imports rose by 0.1% to SEK 163.5 billion, with purchases from the EU decreasing by 3.8%, and those from non-EU countries rising by 8.8%. On a seasonally adjusted basis, the trade surplus increased to SEK 10.3 billion from SEK 9.7 billion in the previous month. Considering the first six months of the year, the trade surplus expanded to SEK 62.9 billion, compared to SEK 55.3 billion in the corresponding period of the previous year.
